What is the LCD and LED screen?

An LED-backlit LCD display is a flat panel display that uses LED backlighting instead of the cold cathode (CCFL) backlighting used in most other LCDs. My screen is dim or dark. What could be issue?

The dim for a variety of reasons. It is hard to diagnose which part causes the dim screen.
